From February 2010 to Now
October 2010 -Disney Live! Winnie the Pooh
In October 2010, Big Daddy brought to Indonesia the first ever Disney Live (On Stage) event. The Disney Live! Winnie the Pooh show was not only an exclusive for South East Asia, it was also the first time a promoter has ever brought an international large scale show outside of the capital Jakarta and into other cities, such as Surabaya and Medan.
Due to the success of Disney of Ice earlier in April 2010 and the company’s commitment to invest in show infrastructure such as a state of the art ticketing system to avoid fraud and to improve customer experience, Big Daddy was awarded with a 3 years contract for Disney on Ice and Disney Live. It was the first time a local promoter had successfully entered into a long term contract with a large scale international show producer. The contract was inaugurated in a Media event which was attended by Juliette Feld, the daughter of Mr. Kenneth Feld, owner of Feld Entertainment and Top 50 person in the Forbes Richest list. This was the first time a Feld family member ever visited an Asian partner (ex. Japan).

Feburary 25 to March 28, 2011 – Belawan U.S. Tour
One of Big Daddy’s vision is also to promote the Indonesian local culture and talent to the rest of the World. This year, Big Daddy was honored to be able to introduce Indonesian traditional ethnic music and the traditional Balinese culture to 11 U.S. cities.
Balawan is a very talented Balinese musician, and is very famous with his touch tapping style in playing guitar.
In his debut album, Balawan blends Balinese music with modern music and this ‘crossover’ or ‘fusion’ facilitated the acceptance of Balinese traditional music not only to the rest of Indonesia but to the rest of the World.
The 3,000 audiences who watched Belawan in the U.S. were treated not only to his soulful music but they were also treated to a short workshop about the traditional instruments that he used. All in all, the tour was a great success.
April 2011 – Disney on Ice : Worlds of Fantasy
In April 2011, Disney on Ice – Worlds of Fantasy was brought into Indonesia touring in Jakarta and Surabaya for a total of 14 days. A total of 32 containers and 78 cast & crew were imported into Indonesia, making the show the largest ever in Indonesia. The show was attended by a record 53,000 audiences with most shows recording 100% capacity.
For the show, Big Daddy created a unique Mack + McQueen pair to roam around the streets to Jakarta & Surabaya to promote the show. This was the firstime a Feld partner had ever created such an elaborate promotional product. The promotion was partnered with quizzes and prizes on social networks, which translated to the big success at the box office.
The show was remarkably fraud free and very orderly, thanks to the State of the Art ticketing system which we deployed. Audience satisfaction was also very high due to the simplicity in obtaining tickets and the orderly access control that was deployed. Prior to the existence of MyTicket Indonesia, audiences normally had to go through a laborious and unfriendly process to obtain their tickets. It is the normal practice for audiences to buy tickets at a ticketbox often far away from their home / office and they had to buy a ‘voucher’ then which had to be exchanged to the actual ticket one day before the event.
With MyTicket Indonesia, they could access any of MyTicket’s 10 ticket boxes, online or if the demand is large enough, we can have our mobile ticketing van to ‘fetch’ the clients.
